Ancient Literature and People

Some similarities between the cultures of the Mesopotamian people were that they all had some sort of written text, be it Kunai form or something else; basically they had some sort of written record keeping. Many of them, well most of them were polytheistic, meaning they believed in many gods. Another thing was that the all had a leader; a deferent leader means deferent laws. The social standing differed from place to place, but not by much.

RE: School Day description

3. Describe the different classes that you take.

Hello there! Well here at booker high we are in a block schedule, meaning four REALLY long classes a day instead of more classes that are shorter. First period I have Algebra 1B, it’s an ok class, but I’m not a big fan of math. Second I have to cross campus to get to world history, I like that class, the teacher is nice and the class is fun. Third is English the class that I have to post here, one of the better classes of my day. Then lunch where I spend time with my crazy friends, there never a dull moment with them around a “motley crew” would probably sum them up. Then as much as a hate it I have to go to another math class, did I mention I hate math? Well I do. Then the day is over! Yay! Except if its Friday, then I go to Anime club.

Thinking Through Literature (The Epic of Gilagmesh)

1) Okay well my reaction to the end of his quest was: “man…. Well that sucks…” but then again I don’t think anything should last forever.

2) He went to find immortality.

3) The story of the flood.

4) The gods touched his forehead.

5) He doesn’t want to accept the fact that he will die.

6) Because it was his city and he was proud of it showing that he had grown and now respects it.

Christmas

Christmas is a good holiday if you ask me, people get together despite squabbles or tiffs they may have had earlier in the year, and for me it’s the only time I can see some of my family. I like Christmas, the food the people the atmosphere, not to mention the break from school. ^__^

Quest Story

God of war (video game)

Plot: Kratos was the leader of a vary strong division of the Spartan army, but then came an adversary with more power then his, still he charged into battle. That out come would change his life forever; he was about beaten, and in a last attempt to save himself and his career he yelled to the god who watched over every battle ever fought. Aries the god of war.

“Aries! Strike down my enemies, and my life is yours!” Aries did as he was asked and saved the Spartan but at a price he was now stronger then any other and would be feared by almost every one, except his wife and little girl. But that would change soon Aries saw the two of them as something that would hinder his protégé and his powerful growth, so he tricked Kratos into killing the two of them.

Kratos abandoned Aries for his betrayal and became somewhat of a nomad and did quests for the other gods for a while waiting for the horrible dreams of what he had done to stop but they never did. Finally he called to Athena pleading for her help to stop the memories.

“Kratos, the gods have one final task for you, then all your sins will be forgiven. Aries, my brother, has waged war on my city of Athens, Zeus has forbidden the gods to fight one another, and only a mortal trained by a god could stand a chance in defeating him. Save my city Kratos and your past will be forgiven.”

And so his quest was set, he would defeat the hydra, travel to Athens, talk to the oracle and gain knowledge of the last titan who was ordered by Zeus to carry the temple of Pandora, which held Pandora’s box, chained to his back doomed to aimlessly walk through the desert of lost souls, that would be Kratos’s key to victory, Pandora’s box the most powerful thing a mortal can poses, on his journey he meets with many other gods that help him on his quest, such as Poseidon(gives you the ability to breath under water.) Zeus (gives you power over lightning) Hades (lends you his minions) among other gods.

Conferencing Topic: Where are you from?

Hello! My name is Stephanie Lombard but my friends call me Stevie, I live in Sarasota FL and go to booker high school. Florida is nice… for the most part, it’s kinda boring here, not a lot to do seeing as the majority of the people here are old people who are all retired, thus golf is big here. (I don’t like golf.) The weather is ok, to hot for my liking but it rains a lot so that’s nice. The only bad thing about Sarasota is the lack of things to do and how hot it is. Other than that I’m glad I live here.
