Connect To The Literature
#1 What questions do you have about events in this myth?
I would just like them to tie up a few end, you know make it more complete so its not really questions but more I didn’t like the way they ended it.
Think Critically
#2 How was the world created, according to the first part of the myth? Summarize events in your own words.
the myth said the world was made on the natural elements, like stone, iron, fire, water, and air.
#4 How do you interpret the series of defeats in the myth? In what sense does blindness defeat man, sleep defeat blindness, and so on?
its kinda of a riddle, blindness will make man week, sleep, clears man of this blindness, ok there is a deeper meaning to all that I’m sure, but it was a bit hazy to me
#5 Why do you think Doondari returns as Gueno to defeat death?
Doondari goes back to Gueno to so he can live again, and never DIE!
Extend Interpretations
#7 (What If?) If man had not been proud, how might the world have turned out?
If man wasn't proud, a lot of things would be worse but then again a lot would be better, man would not consider themselves above all else but to tell you the truth, man will never stop being proud, or at least I don’t think so.
#9 (Connect To Life) How satisfying do you find this Fulani myth's explanation of why death exists?
I have my own theory about death and this didn’t persuade be other wise, so I can really say it was that satisfying for me but it might have been for someone else.
