#2 In the expert from the book of the dead, how would you describe the tone, or attitude, of Nu's speech? How does the tone relate to the situation described in the text?
Well it kinda had a sort of a self-important kinda feeling to it, but that could have just been me (who knows?)
#3 In "Adoration of the Disk", why does the speaker think that Ra should be praised?
He’s the sun god, nothing much left to say after that. He’s kinda the thing keeping everyone alive and stuff, I’d say that’s good for praise no?
#4 In "Im going downstream..." why does the speaker delight in dreaming of herself standing like a bride beside her love?
Because its what she wants, a pretty wedding, a guy she loves, you know the hole perfection thing. (Personally I would want a wedding in
#6 Which of the selections gave you the strongest sense of the speaker as a person? Explain your answer.
umm…… that one story? Eh heh heh, ok I have no clue what your asking ^_^’
#7 In both "Im going downstream on kingswater canal" and "Whenever i leave you, i go out of breath", a female speaker addresses her absent beloved. What are some ways in which the the poems differ?
The author of "Whenever i leave you, i go out of breath” described the emotions the best between the two, well I think so anyway.
#8 Their literature and art show that the ancient Egyptians both appreciated everyday life and prepared extensively for death. How do their attitudes compare with those of your society?
not vary well to tell you the truth, people now take things for granted that they wouldn’t back then. Getting upset over small, unimportant things that I believe the Egyptians would have brushed off. as for preparing for death, they are definitely prepared, but then again we do have embalming fluid and all sorts of stuff now so I can't say we are too far behind (that’s a long answer compared to the others hm?)
